JLAIn 1998 Hasbro New Ventures realized that there was still some support for a continuation of the Total Justice line. In a partnership with both KB Toys and Diamond Distributors, Hasbro re-released a few figures in a new paint deco that was closer to the comics' color schemes. At the same time, Diamond solicited 4 box sets that featured a few of the repaints, plus some translucent "remolds" that tied into the current "Rock of Ages" storyline running through the JLA comic book. These "Hard Light Hologram" versions were meant to represent evil doppelgangers of the JLA team, and came complete with new insignia. One thing that did not make the switch was the Fractal Techgear. Instead, each figure came with a molded "JLA" base in assorted colors. Additionally, the single carded versions had comic covers that you could clip out of the back of the package and slide into the base as a backdrop.
Below are pics of the repaints (except for Huntress) . The last Batman and Superman repaints were part of the delayed 4th series.
