Future Assortments?

Now that this line has had more ups and downs than a Duncan Yo-Yo, the obvious question is..."what next"?

Well, even discounting the many villains that have yet to be made, STAS has had a number of superhero "guest stars" such as the Flash, Dr. Fate, the New Gods, Lobo, and Green Lantern. The Flash was even partially sculpted and listed as being in this line, but was never finished or released.

Unfortunately, it does not seem like these will ever be made. A few repaints have shown up in the Toys R Us exclusive 4-packs alongside a brand new Lois Lane figure, and Superman keep showing up again and again, but now that Hasbro has lost the WB license, it is doubtful we will see new figures in this scale ever again.

One long hoped for figure is Lobo. This particular one is a custom figure that I made as an April Fool's joke for 1997. Fans shouldn't look to Lobo though to rescue them from the variation frenzy. The character's licensing rights were tied up in a movie deal for quite awhile. And it doesn't look as if the film is moving forward, either.
A few figures did come out that could be considered as unoffcial additions to the line: A Green Lantern and Wonder Woman that were part of a Jack in the Box Kid's Meal in 1999. These are just about in scale with STAS figures.

NEW! Flash prototype found!
