Lois Lane Toy Line

A very curious part of the pitch is the Lois Lane subset. On the surface, it seems almost like a totally separate entity from the normal figure line. However, I think they may have been trying for a semi compatible "fashion figure" line, like the Glamour Gals, that would let girls get different outfits and cloth accessories, but also be in scale with the male heroes and have vehicles and playsets. although, it may be very possible that this was another 12" line designed to compete with Barbie.

Notice how the concept art emphasizes role-playing aspects of each toy, much more than the "boys toys" concepts do. One thing is for sure, as we can see by the suggested 1984 line-up, Lois was definitely considered to get at least one figure as part of the basic line. And the playsets lend credence to being part of the boys toys line as a whole. Too bad we never got to see her rescuing the baby seal.
