Hall of Justice Carrying Case

Before deciding to make the Hall of Justice into a playset, Kenner first went down the path of making it a straightforward carrying case, much like the shaped Star Wars carrying cases that Kenner had been accustomed to making. This item got as far as having a wood pattern made, before Kenner switched gears and released a plain vinyl case instead.

The most interesting thing about this design is that the facade remained relatively unchanged from the carrying case to the eventual playset that was released. They even kept the handle design, expanding it the be more comfortable in carrying the larger playset.
