BRAINIAC SKULL SHIP

A nifty mid-sized vehicle, Brainiac's Skull Ship was far enough along in the process for Kenner's Engineers to whip up this "works like" model to show the function. This would appear to be a free rolling vehicle, whose "legs" would grab an adversary when the back button was pressed.

It's good to see that Kenner was trying to think of ways to refresh some of the characters from the first wave, at the end of the line's life. While it is doubtful that this piece got much farther than the concept testing seen here, there is always the hope that it did indeed reach a final sculpting phase. As of yet, only the All Terrain Trapper and Darkseid's Fortress of Darkness were know to be made, yet not released. A Superman Phone Booth also made it to the tooling stage, so this toy may have very well been slated for the 4th Wave and was in sculpting when the line was cancelled.
