ATOMIC KNIGHT

Wow. While adding yet another metallic figure to the line-up, this guy is pretty much the definition of "obscure character". Yes, he's fairly cool looking, but I think the ONLY reason he was included is that at the time of putting this pitch together, he had been heavily featured in DC comics for a few months in ads for their upcoming "Who's Who" series. And then he disappeared for years. And showed up again in a different costume. Gardner Grayle didn't even quite exist in the DC universe, but was in a science-induced coma dreaming about a post-apocalyptic future in which he led a band of "Atomic Knights". His hallucinating body would sometimes wake-up and wreak havoc until Superman could calm him down. This was fodder for a kiddie line?

Regardless, he made it into the mix, obviously as another Brainiac type figure (shiny!). I wonder what DC had to say about his inclusion, though? Go here to read about his wacky adventures!

If anyone wants to attempt a custom of this crazy fella, go ahead and I'll include it here!
