TYR
The Merciless Mercenary

ORIGIN

A warlord from the planet Tyrraz in the 30th century, Tyr traveled back in time to escape his dread enemies, the Legion of Superheroes. Now fronting as a gun for hire, Tyr hunts down heroes for anyone, if the price is right. With his sentient gunhand and ability to create spatial warp stargates, Tyr is feared from Apokolips to Miami.

FIGURE STATS

Tyr comes with a gunhand that is spring loaded. With a mild squeezing of his legs, Tyr will launch said gunhand well into the atmosphere (Providing you are already in the atmosphere).

COMMENTS

Tyr is such a lame villain that I thought he was created for the line for the longest time. An interesting fact is that he was originally designed by Dave Cockrum as a possible member of the "new" X-Men back in 1975 before eventually being rejected by Marvel and ending up in the Legion over at DC. Surprisingly, Kenner decided to go out with the Super Powers line with a spring loaded firing weapon, which in the recent past had been a no-no for toy manufacturers due to the threat of lawsuits.
