Ostensibly needed for all those heroes who either didn't fly, or couldn't afford a private airship. Green Arrow and Robin logged many hours in the DP1.
Came with a villain catcher, rotating cockpit, "infrared shield", and big guns (!). The first of the strange DC vehicles to be introduced by Kenner.
