COLUMBIAN CAPTAIN RAYcaprayBB.jpg

By far stranger than the Super Amigos Riddler and anything else I've seen associated with the Super Powers Collection, Captain Ray (or El Capitan Rayo, in his native language) is an exclusive figure to the recent knock-off Columbian line.

Unlike the rest of the line, Captain Ray's card says "Super Heroes" instead of Super Powers. He is obviously a badly molded Superman, painted to resemble the X-Men's Cyclop's costume from the 1980s. He has a Flash type symbol on his chest, and medium brown hair.

What is so bizarre is that this character does not exist in any comics ever published, to the best of my knowledge. Why they chose this for the exclusive figure, or why they even have an exclusive figure and did not make the full Super Powers line is a mystery that we may never know the answer to.

Thanks to Alex Bickmore for tracking down this hard to find oddity, and graciously taking pictures of it for me to use.
