In general, I feel that most web pages are pretty useless as sources of information. Very few really strive to provide the resources that could have fulfilled the promise that the internet originally held. Instead, what we mostly have is self congratulatory crap masquerading as content. (My page of course is no exception) I'm not gonna name names of the worst crap peddlers, but here below are a few of the only examples that I think provide a service mainly based on love of the hobby, not personal or monetary gain. If you have any suggestions or complaints, please drop me a line!
General Toy Sites
RAVING TOY MANIAC
Heading back to its former greatness, RTM is still the best place to hobnob with fellow collectors. Go for the resources, and go for the buzz. News is constantly updated, too!.THE AMAZING JUSTICE LEAGUE OF JULIUS MARX
Without a doubt, the best place to go get superhero toys news. He knows the people, he goes to the places, he takes the pictures. It's all right here, folks. Don't waste a minute! Go now, fanboy!ACTION GIRL'S GUIDE TO FEMALE FIGURES
If only every site went to the effort that Sarah Dyer does here in chronicling every known example of female action figures there wouldn't be a need for books. And go check out her and Evan Dorkin's House of Fun while you're at it.EBAY
Yeah, I know, this really isn't a toy site. But it's hard to find a better resource at finding toys or just seeing what's out there. And don't forget to check for prototypes!
Star Wars Toy Sites
THE STAR WARS COLLECTORS ARCHIVE
Arguable the very first in depth toy resource online, Gus Lopez's pages still set the standard for quality and exhaustive research when dealing with a single license. Never before seen material and prototypes galore!!
REBELSCUM.COM
Get all the latest news and pictures for Star Wars toys at Phillip Wise's great page, then stick around for the archives.
YAKFACE.COM
If you can't find it at Rebelscum, then odds are it'll be here. The other best SW news page on the web.
Oddities
TICK TOCK TOYS
No, it's not TIC TOC, where I used to slave the day away, but a wonderful archive of all sorts of toys, packaging and premiums from years past, mainly from cereal, fast food, and candy.
THE KERRY GAMMILL PAGE
The famous Kerry Gammill shows you loads of neat stuff from movie monster design to unseen art from the cancelled Hulk and Superman films!
KEZ WILSON'S MISC. MAYHEM
The slightly well-known Kez Wilson has been everything from Art Director at DC Comics to Animation Effects Director of Space Jam! Go check out Supercar and his friends here.GOBLER TOYS
It's not a real company, but you'll wish it was! Truly, one of the more inventive toy related sites I've seen.ROOM OF HAMSTER
It has nothing to do with toys, and I can't even tell you what the hell it is, but it kinda creeps me out. Behold!
Otters
OTTERNET
The most comprehensive Otter resource on the web.
JIMMY'S SEA OTTER PAGE
Boy howdy! Does Jimmy have them Sea Otter pictures!
OTTERS AND BUTTERFLIES
Much like Toys and Otters, Butterflies and Otters are apparently symbolically linked in Nature.
TRACKING THE RIVER OTTER
Vicariously follow along for this perilous trek after the elusive river otter.
THE UNOFFICIAL OTTER POP HOMEPAGE
Sweet Glory in the Mornin'! Have you ever seen anything so brilliant?
OTTERS OF YELLOWSTONE
