Spider Jerusalem is the star of the comic book "Transmetropolitan". Five years prior to the beginning of the series Spider covered the presidential run for
his news paper, subsequently he was run out of town and hid out at his cabin in the mountains. He returned two years ago when the paper demanded that he come back to complete
the work for which he was paid in advance. Transmetropolitan is set in the near future, possibly thirty to eighty years. The comic is vague about
what has happened to the world to get where they are, but it similar to now, only everything about society now is stretched to the limit (ex. pills were
developed to counter cancer from cigarettes, but the next generation is immune due to evolution). This figure comes with his laptop and a smoking, two-headed cat. |
