The Spectre

Police detective Jim Corrigan and his fiancee socialite Clarice Winston were captured by the criminal "Gat" Benson and two of his men. (See More Fun Comics #52) Corrigan was placed in a barrel that was filled with cement, and then dumped off a wharf into a river. Corrigan died and his spirit, now in a void, began travelling toward a streaming light ahead of him, but was somehow prevented from reaching its source. A Voice told that his mission on Earth was unfinished and that he was to return there to fight evil with the supernatural powers he now possessed.

This figure comes with the "Spear of Destiny" that he was trapped in during WW2 (although he can't hold it for some reason) and a neat cape that is bendable and makes it appear as if he is floating or walking on air. I do wish it was removable, though, so that he could stand free. His skin glows in the dark, but I personally would have preferred at least a variant that was the stark white of the comics. But as far as sculpt, articulation, execution...all perfect. The only Spectre figure is also the best we could have hoped for.
